Udo P. Klein

Artdirector and photographer, born in Essen Germany, lives in Cologne and Saint Tropez. He studies on the Folkwangschule for advertising and photography in Essen, Germany. He worked as an artdirector and creativdirector with various international advertising agencies until 1979, when he founded his own agency.His activities also include works in the area of free photography such as series of unusual black and white photographs on the subject of time. Together with Stefan Szczesny he has realised numerous book projects.

Udo P. Klein is a purist. At the moment of taking a photograph he is composing a detail of reality. His eye for detail and for his own structures are amongst the most striking features in the photographer's work.
